A French artist, she mainly uses coloured pencils to draw worlds that exude a sense of intimacy and an inner mood. Almost all her drawings begin with a landscape: the more distant it is, the more it fascinates her, and Marfa is no exception to this rule. Through the use of gradients, she loves to reinvent the colours of a horizon, emphasising the almost fantastical aspect of a place, its earthly and cosmic dimensions, in connection with the power of the elements.
